Who is CASA?
CASA (Child Appointed Special Advocates) of Cook County is a local branch of a national organization that works with children who have experienced neglect or abuse in the foster care system. In developing its website, we believed it was important to help the organization showcase the important work it does to help it inspire and engage supporters and volunteers. At the same time, we needed to tell the story of this local branch within the specifications of the national organization’s design guidelines.

Our Design Story
We placed the messaging of the Cook County branch’s main campaign, Change a Child’s Story, front and center. To do this, we heavily utilized photo and video assets to showcase advocates working with children and effecting positive change. Working within the national organization’s brand specifications, we used existing logos and colors to create a clean, engaging look. The client also wanted it to be impossible to ignore its events, so we placed an event tab directly under the hero section on the homepage to drive engagement and encourage site visitors to get involved.
Motion Graphics
We used motion effects to capture the viewer’s attention on this site, not just through video and photo assets, but also with data. Moving statistics and infographics, displayed in a simple, easy-to-understand manner, helped us put into perspective the work that CASA continues to accomplish.
